Currently serves as Specialist Printmaking Workshop Provincial Pinar del Río and works as a professor of engraving at the Professional School of Plastic Arts of the city. He has served on the jury in different rooms of Art. He is a member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba.
In his artistic work until 1991, was concerned mainly formal problems, was a period of constant search and graphic experimentation, obtaining a wide range of results for effect, color and texture.
Since 1992 his work is inclined to figuration, entering a phase where it is grounded in the grotesque-expressive in the burlesque sometimes somewhat ironic emphasizes the critical nature of the work, keeping this line of work for most of the decade.
His most recent production is directed toward the existential problems of modern man, creating scenes and characters from the conflicts of being human.

About seven years ago, I had the opportunity to see some metals and lithographs of this young artist, which warned high aesthetic principles, both in terms of formal and conceptual load radiating. Experienced a general feeling that we would have a respectable writer in our province. That hunch prophecy has come true.
Marcos González Yaver, multidisciplinary artist (cartoonist, painter and engraver) but decided on this last statement gives us a work which combines the deep knowledge of the problems of composition, color and design in general, with a lyrical charge, refined and nostalgic .
